Particles
Small words that modify a meaning, feeling, or structure, without typically changing its core grammar. In some languages, like Japanese, particles can also serve essential grammatical roles, marking topics, objects, or relationships between words.
Article
A word that is used with a noun to show grammatical definiteness of the noun. In some languages, articles extend to volume or numerical scope.
Definite Article
The definite article is the word the. Used before a noun to indicate that the identity of the noun is known to the reader. Used when the noun refers to a particular member of a group.
Indefinite Article
The indefinite article is the word a or an. Used before a noun that is general or when its identity is not known.
